Privacy Policy — Coverage Calc

Coverage Calc (“we”, “the app”) is a Shopify application that helps merchants calculate product quantities from room coverage.

What we store

• Shop domain (e.g. your-store.myshopify.com)
• OAuth session tokens needed to keep the embedded app signed in
• App settings you configure (default units, locale, labels, plan status)
• An index of which products have the calculator enabled (for free-plan limits)

What we do not store

• Customer personal information
• Order contents, payment details, or checkout data
• Storefront shopper measurements (those stay in the browser)

How storefront calculation works

Product configuration is written to Shopify product metafields. The theme app block reads those metafields in Liquid and calculates entirely in the shopper’s browser. Adding to cart uses Shopify’s own /cart/add.js endpoint.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is processed only to operate the app on Shopify infrastructure and our hosting provider (database for sessions and settings).

Retention & deletion

When you uninstall the app we mark the shop as uninstalled and delete sessions. On Shopify’s shop/redact webhook we delete the shop row and related records for that domain.
